Coming up this Friday (2/24), we have a pair of musicians arriving to entertain you.

Want to join us for Happy Hour? Excellent. You can expect Henry Oldham from 5:30 to 7:30pm. “Henry plays classic rock/country/R&B, as he says, ‘Because they were coming along at the same time I was entertaining folks… put another way, that’s the 50s, 60s and 70s. Can I play other stuff? Of course; hum a few bars.’”

And then later that evening, join Keith Taylor upstairs (pictured right) from 9pm to 1am! “Pianist Keith Taylor is an Instructor and performing musician who is certainly one of the more versatile musicians in the area. As a performer, he is capable in a number of styles, including popular, jazz and classical music. He has performed throughout the Southeastern United Stated as a soloist, accompanist and ensemble player.”

And then, coming up Saturday (2/18) the return of David Merriman from 9pm to 1am upstairs on our stage! As for David’s info…

David Merriman is an Irish Musician with nearly two decades of experience as a working artist. He is a graduate of “Bel canto house” and “the Parnell school of Music” in Dublin, Ireland. He holds two different teaching degrees in Music and studied singing alongside Sinéad O’Connor, Danny O’Donoghue (of The Script) and Samantha Mumba, to name a few. David signed his first record deal in 1996 with Sony in the United States, and spent the next fourteen years touring, recording and making records. David owns and operates Exit4 studios, which specializes in Music and soundtrack for animation, but his enduring love is playing “Live” several times a week, at clubs, bars, weddings, parties, etc. David plays a unique blend of classic and contemporary music, with the occasional Irish traditional song thrown in.

No cover charge, just come up and join us! We’ll see you there!

The Tennessee Valley Jazz Society was introduced in 1998 as a supplemental program for students in area schools. The program added the value of the arts as well as incorporating the meaning and background behind jazz, including history and math concepts that go along with playing such music. So far, they have reached over 26,000 students and have hopes to reach many more.
